PEF to mark 22nd anniversary of September 11 attacks

Union will hold a ceremony at its outdoor memorial

ALBANY, NY (09/08/2023) (readMedia)-- PEF will observe a moment of silence and remember the members who died during the September 11, 2001 attacks. The ceremony will take place at the memorial outside the building, to the right when you enter the parking lot.

WHO:

PEF Executive Director Todd Kerner and PEF Health & Safety Director Geraldine Stella will speak and the names of PEF members who died that day will be read.
WHAT:

PEF will mark the 22nd anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center and honor the 34 members from the state Tax Department and other state agencies who died.
