ST. PAUL, MINN. (07/18/2011)(readMedia)-- What?: The Minnesota State Fair's Amateur Talent Contest auditions begin this evening, Monday, July 18. Head to the fairgrounds for audition footage and interviews with performers.
Who?: Dancers, singers, comedians, jugglers - you name it! Performers of all ages audition in hopes of being one of the 120 acts chosen to perform during semi-finals at the 2011 Minnesota State Fair.
When?: Monday, July 18 through Sunday, July 24. Auditions begin at 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Sessions typically run two to three hours.
Where?: The Minnesota State Fairgrounds Bandshell on Cosgrove Street, just north of the Space Tower.
What else?: There's still time for hopefuls to register and audition. Visit www.mnstatefair.org to register on-line or download an entry form. Also, the public is welcome to join us at the fairgrounds to watch any or all audition sessions.
