Public Employees Federation Supports Services for Children at Sagamore Rally

ALBANY, NY (02/13/2014)(readMedia)-- The New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF) will join in a rally to ensure mental health services remain for children on Long Island. The rally is a joint effort by PEF, the Civil Service Employees Association, and the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, and families and members of the community.

The rally will take place at the Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center, 197 Half Hollow Road, Dix Hills, NY from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

WHO:

The New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF), the Civil Service Employees Association, the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, and families and members of the community.
WHAT:

A rally will be held to save mental health services for children residing on Long Island, and is supported by labor and community organizations.

Local PEF leaders Ann Cinadre, an education supervisor at Sagamore, and PEF Executive Board member Carol Ferrante will be available to discuss the importance of keeping inpatient services for chidlren in the area.
