WHITTIER, CA (01/30/2009)(readMedia)-- Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) will host Campus Preview Day on Saturday February 21, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on its 38-acre campus. Visitors are invited to attend and learn more about the university and career possibilities in complementary and alternative medicine. Both a continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Dr. Ronald Kraft, SCU President will show how SCU is a school with a vision, and discuss the bright future of students of complementary and alternative medicine. Wen-Shuo Wu, Dean of the CoIlege of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at SCU, and Todd Knudsen, Dean of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic at SCU will discuss how each of their colleges trains 'healthy life practitioners' and how their programs integrate philosophy and evidence based science.
Visitors will then be able to participate in a variety of activities in which they can learn about all facets of the university including:
•Touring the campus, high-tech facilities and labs
•Observing chiropractic and acupuncture/oriental medicine demonstrations
•Meeting faculty, staff and students
•Exploring careers in chiropractic and acupuncture/oriental medicine
•Hearing about the extensive clinical experience at SCU
•Obtaining admissions and financial aid information
•Learning about our hands-on science-based curriculum
Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity for personalized tours and one-on-one sessions with admission counselors and tuition planners.
