Spelman College First Year Student Gabrielle Moore Named Among '20 Under 20'
ATLANTA, GA (10/20/2011)(readMedia)-- Gabrielle Moore, a freshman at Spelman College, from Lawrenceville, GA., has been selected as a member of the "20 Under 20" class of 2011 by 21st Century Leaders and the Atlanta Business Chronicle's "40 Under 40." Moore will be honored during the Fourth Annual "Celebrating 21st Century Leaders" event at the Georgia Tech Student Center on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Chosen for her dedication and commitment to community service, Moore will be recognized for "Bears for Babies," a project she initiated during her junior year in high school and has continued ever since. She collects donations and provides teddy bears to grieving youngsters who've lost a parent through suicide, active military duty, or as a first-responder. Each year, 21st Century Leaders partners with the Atlanta Business Chronicle's "40 Under 40" to select 20 students under the age of 20 who have made a significant impact on their school or community.
