Spelman College Senior Alexia Noble Gains Experience as Grass-Roots Organizer

ATLANTA, GA (08/01/2011)(readMedia)-- Rising senior and sociology major Alexia Noble is gaining valuable experience as a grass-roots organizer in her hometown of Charlotte, N.C. Noble is currently working as a summer organizer for Organizing for America, the official organization responsible for the grassroots movement of President Barack Obama's re-election campaign. In her role, Noble is responsible for creating and hosting phone banks; attending team leadership meetings and planning sessions; entering data; and meeting with potential volunteers within the city of Charlotte.

This summer, she also met David Plouffe and Jim Messina, the past and present campaign managers for President Obama. She even participated on a national phone call with President Obama and political consultant and former senior adviser David Axelrod. Noble plans to enter law school following graduation.
