Spelman College Student Courtney J. Reed Makes Her Mark in Sports Broadcasting

ATLANTA, GA (08/01/2011)(readMedia)-- With dreams of becoming a sports reporter, English major Courtney J. Reed, who hails from Prince George's County, MD, is already making her mark in the broadcasting industry. This summer, while interning with Comcast Sportsnet in Washington, D.C., Reed gained valuable experience toward her future endeavors.

Through her internship, Reed edited TV clips shown on daily sports television programs; recorded games statistics and scores; interviewed several professional athletes, managers and coaches of professional teams; and attended several sports events. Comcast Sportsnet is one of the top sports broadcasting networks in the nation.

Founded in 1881, Spelman College is a prestigious, highly selective, liberal arts college that prepares women to change the world.
