State Fair's 2013 Free Entertainment Lineup Features More Than 900 Shows

ST. PAUL, MINN. (05/21/2013)(readMedia)-- The 2013 Minnesota State Fair free entertainment lineup features more than 900 shows throughout the Great Minnesota Get-Together's 12-day run - all free with the price of admission.

This year's Leinie Lodge Bandshell Tonight! series features Sunny Sweeney, Blue Öyster Cult, Hanson, Sheila E., Robert Randolph & The Family Band, and Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers.

The Leinie Lodge Bandshell's daytime entertainment includes Mountain Heart, Chubby Carrier and The Bayou Swamp Band, Dale Watson, The Stellas featuring Lennon and Maisy, Alex Meixner Polka Band, Jason D. Williams, The 34th Infantry Division "Red Bull" Band, Tonic Sol-fa, Bill Kirchen's Texicalli, Neal Zunker and The Music Connection, Maggie Rose, Whisperin' Bill Anderson, Home Free, Rosie Flores and The Rivetors, Kenny Neal, The Quebe Sisters Band, Eric Paslay, Michael Salgado, and SongBlast - Dueling Guitars.

Acts confirmed for Bazaar After Dark at the International Bazaar Stage (sponsored by Summit Brewing Co.) are Socaholix, Tropical Zone Orchestra, Lost Highway, Salsa del Soul, The New Primitives, and GB Leighton.

Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles, Pert' Near Sandstone, Sarah Gayle Meech, Billy McLaughlin, Pieta Brown & the Sawdust Collective, and Chastity Brown will perform evenings at the Heritage Square Stage (sponsored by August Schell Brewing Co.) for the Heritage At Sundown series.

ShenaniGuns! Comedy Wild West Show is back near Heritage Square to take fair guests to the frontier days in a family-friendly stunt show. Flippenout, a high-energy trampoline show, returns to The X-Zone and features world-class athletes reaching heights of more than 25 feet. High-powered laser beams choreographed to today's hit music will dance above fairgoers nightly at Lasertainment's Laser Hitz Show on Cosgrove Street. The Timberworks Lumberjack Show and Ron Schara's Minnesota Bound bring The North?Woods (sponsored by Gander Mountain and Good Health Saunas) to life at the corner of Cooper Street and Lee Avenue. Visitors can become State Fair superstars at Karaoke in The Garden (sponsored by Treasure Island Resort &?Casino). The Daily Mall Parade runs at 2 p.m. every day of the fair, featuring floats, special guests and the State Fair High School Marching Band Competition. Music, costumed characters and magicians just for kids and their families are the focus at the Family Fair Stage in Baldwin Park (sponsored by Green Mill). The Ramberg Senior Center Stage (sponsored by Cal Spas) features special entertainment for senior citizen fair guests. The Education and Creative Activities Stage (sponsored by LEGO) will host cooking, fitness, dance and musical demonstrations throughout each of the fair's 12 days.
