Susan Odell Taylor School Celebrates Earth Day

Former Head of School Wendy Pattison, to be Honored

TROY, NY (04/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Students, faculty and their families will join together to welcome spring and celebrate the Earth! Activities to include;

A Book Swap - (children and adult books). Books can be deposited in the collection boxes. Then attendees may pick out new books to bring home. Left over books will be donated to Unity House.

Recycling - RPI fraternity, Delta Phi will be taking unwanted electronic waste at the celebration. All broken, used or unwanted electronics will be accepted: Laptops, photocopiers, cell phones, scanners, toasters, VCR's, TV's , etc. Most items are free to dispose; some items have a fee of $5.

Celebrating former Head of School, Wendy Pattison and the Earth - Families will dedicate a beautiful lilac tree to Pattison for all of her hard work at the Taylor School over the past 11 years. Students can also help prepare the garden for planting.

Enjoy -The Taylor School Singers will perform in the School's Common Room at 7:00 pm.
