Take to the Stairs and Fight for Clean Air
Registration is now open for the 2015 Cleveland Fight for Air Climb
CLEVELAND, OH (12/22/2014)(readMedia)-- If the stairs don't take your breath away, the view from the top of the Terminal Tower will. The American Lung Association in Ohio is holding its 5th Annual Fight For Air Climb in Cleveland on Saturday, March 7, 2015, and they're looking for hundreds of participants to help them in their fight for clean air for everyone!
On Event Day, climbers, walkers, runners, firefighters, first responders and supporters of the American Lung Association will climb Terminal Tower in downtown Cleveland. The participants will challenge themselves to climb 42 flights of stairs, 804 steps, while raising money to help support the fight against lung diseases. The goal of the event is to raise $155,000 to support lung health, research, education and advocacy in Northeast Ohio.
The climb festivities start with registration 8:00 a.m.; climbing begins at 9:30 a.m. Among the participants will be firefighters competing in the Firefighters Challenge in full gear; competitive climbers hoping to be the fastest up the steps and fastest in their age group; and those participants who will climb at their own pace to reach the top. The Climb will finish in the early afternoon. All festivities take place at the Terminal Tower, 50 Public Square, including a party sponsored by the Lincoln Taphouse.
The registration fee for the Fight for Air Climb is $15 through December 31, 2014; from January 1, 2015 through Climb Day, $25. In addition, participants need to raise a minimum of $100 to participate and can quality for a variety of incentive prizes based on the amount of money they raise.

Lung diseases such as asthma and COPD cannot yet be cured, but they can be managed.
