Taylor School Students Host a Spring Equinox Celebration
With (Authentic) Medieval Feast and Festivities
TROY, NY (03/22/2011)(readMedia)-- The third and fourth grade class at the Susan Odell Taylor School will be staging a medieval style feast in celebration of the spring equinox.
The students have dubbed their castle (site of the event), Dalhousie Castle and will be serving a three course feast. The re-enactment festivities will follow with a performance by the Castle Rockers and The Marching Knights (strolling students playing recorders and other instruments). There will be a knight dubbing ceremony, a medieval stick dance, ballads read aloud and other tales and tunes of yore.
Guests will include teachers, students and parents.
