Tennessee Celebrities Bring Smiles to Fight for Air

Clown Calendar Supports Services of the American Lung Association in Tennessee

Clown Bucky Covington joined in the American Lung Association's Fight for Air

NASHVILLE TN (11/19/2010)(readMedia)-- Lung disease is no laughing matter, but the American Lung Association in Tennessee has brought clowns to their Fight for Air and hopes to bring a smile both to those with lung disease and those supporting their mission.

An assortment of Tennessee celebrities has been transformed into clowns to help create a special clown calendar to benefit the services of the American Lung Association in Tennessee.

The calendar, "A Year of Smiles", features:

• Katie Cook – host of Insider, a weekly entertainment and news program on CMT;

• Bucky Covington – country music artist and American Idol, Season Five finalist;

• Pat Summitt – coach University of Tennessee's Lady Vols basketball team;

• Rudy Kalis – sports director and anchor at WSMV-TV in Nashville;

• Mary Hance – Ms. Cheap, author of a frugal consumer column in The Tennessean, Nashville;

• T-Rac –mascot of the Tennessee Titans;

• Dan Haseltine – leader singer of the Grammy Award winning Christian group, Jars of Clay;

• Demetria Kalodimos – news anchor, WSMV-TV in Nashville

• Chris Sanders – seven year veteran of the Tennessee Titans and American Lung Association in Tennesee's Christmas Seal campaign chairman for the past two years;

• Kevin Stallings – coach of Vanderbilt University's men's basketball team;

• Lori Tucker – news anchor at WATE-TV in Knoxville; and

• Jeff Jarrett – professional wrestler and founder of Total Non-Stop Wrestling (TNA).

Jim Howle, a member of the International Clown Hall of Fame and a member of the original class of the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Clown College, volunteered his talents to bring the calendar's clowns to life.

Orders are now being taken for A "Year of Smiles" with delivery starting at the end of November. The calendar is $13 with all proceeds going to the work of the American Lung Association in Tennessee.
