The Brooklyn Hospital Center Unveils New CT Imaging Technology

The Brooklyn Hospital Center will unveil a new, state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) imaging system, the GE LightSpeed 64 Slice VCT system. This new investment offers The Brooklyn Hospital Center an innovative way for its physicians to more quickly obtain the information they need to diagnose disease and life-threatening illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, stroke and chest pain.

“We are driven to provide the highest quality care to the people of Brooklyn and this CT scanner is just the latest example of our commitment,” said Dr. Richard Becker, President and CEO of The Brooklyn Hospital Center. “This is a true benefit to the Brooklyn community and we are delighted to make this announcement with Congresswoman Yvette Clarke who was instrumental in helping us securing the funding for this $1.4 million dollar CT scanner.” Congresswoman Clarke secured a large portion of the funding when she was a member of the City Council and will be at the ribbon cutting.
