Tonight Is The Condom Nation Celebration at the Palace Theatre

Event Benefits Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood; Features Prize Winning Author of Condom Nation and a Condom Art Exhibit

ALBANY, NY (10/21/2010)(readMedia)-- Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood (UHPP) will host a Condom Nation Celebration event tonight, Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Palace Theatre in Albany. The program will feature author Alexandra Lord Ph.D., whose book, Condom Nation: The US Government and Sex Education from World War I to the Internet, recently won first prize for popular medicine, British Medical Association 2010 book awards.

Time: Patron reception: 5:45-6:30pm

General reception: 6:30-9:30pm

The event will also include:

- a Condom Art display beginning at 5:45;

- A presentation by S.T.A.R.S. (Seriously Talking About Responsible Sex) high school peer educators from Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood at 7pm; and

- Exhibition on the history of condoms and sex education.

Proceeds will benefit UHPP.
