NASHVILLE TN (08/20/2014)(readMedia)-- Leticia Towns, Memphis, has been elected to the National Board of Directors of the American Lung Association, the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
In addition to her national volunteer position with ALA, she also serves on the charter board of the American Lung Association of the Midland States – which provides programs and services in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan.
Towns, FACHE, is Senior Vice President, External Relations for Regional One Health. She has more than 20 years experience in the public and private sectors, beginning her professional career in State Government with the Tennessee Departments of Human Services and Health.
Her public service has included the Make A Wish Mid-South Board of Directors; the Southern College of Optometry Board of Directors; the Memphis Medical Center Board of Directors; the American Hospital Association Region 4 Policy Board; the Workforce Investment Network Board; the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Examination Committee; the Three Rivers Area Health Education Center Board of Directors; the Concharty Council of Girl Scouts Board of Directors; the Tennessee Hospital Association Disparities Council; the American Hospital Association Government Relations Officers Network; and The LINKS, Incorporated Memphis (TN) Chapter.
