WASHINGTON, DC (02/08/2013)(readMedia)-- A celebratory send-off for soldiers headed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom is planned for February 10, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the D.C. National Guard Armory. Metropolitan Police Department Assistant Chief Alfred Durham is slated to give the send-off address to the departing military police. Gen. Frank J. Grass, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and Matt Cary, director of the D.C. Office of Veterans Affairs are scheduled to give remarks. Media and the public are invited to attend.
