Vaselaney Named to Lung Association Board

COLUMBUS OH (10/11/2011)(readMedia)-- Missia H. Vaselaney, a partner in the Cleveland law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of the Midland States. Based in Columbus, ALAMS provides programs and services to the residents of Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.

Vaselaney, who focuses her practice on estate planning, has previously served on both the advisory board of the American Lung Association of Northeast Ohio and the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Ohio. Ms. Vaselaney is a member of the American, Ohio, and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations; a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has been a member of the Steering Committee for the AICPA's National Advanced Estate Planning Conference since 2001. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and a former Trustee. She holds degrees from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and the University of Dayton

The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives through the prevention of lung disease and lung health. Originally founded in the early 1900's to fight tuberculosis, the association now is actively involved with a variety of lung health issues working through research, advocacy, and education initiatives.
