WOMEN IN INSURANCE & FINANCIAL SERVICES HOSTS NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN CHICAGO

ALBANY, NY (10/13/2016)(readMedia)-- Over 400 professionals representing the Insurance and Financial Services industry will meet in Chicago, Illinois at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, October 19 - 21 for the 29th annual WIFS National Conference. As the preeminent professional organization for women in the financial services industry, Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS) is dedicated to attracting capable women to the financial services sector, helping them develop their talents and advancing them toward their fullest potential.

This year's conference, Journey to the Top, will celebrate the organization's 80-year history and the impact that WIFS is making in the industry. Conference focuses on empowering women through dynamic educational workshops, panel discussions, networking events, and inspirational sessions to help women invest in their futures. The Exhibit Hall will host 50 vendors with products and services aimed at elevating the businesses of those in the industry. Workshop topics include: marketing strategies, sustainable investing, Department of Labor policy, best practices, team building and many more.

The conference will include the 2016 Circle of Excellence Recognition Luncheon, applauding significant production levels. This year 190 members submitted qualifying documents for the Circle of Excellence with a combined total income of $56 million. A separate luncheon will celebrate WIFS award nominees and winners for the 2016 WIFS Woman of the Year and Chapter of the Year.

Featured speakers include Diane Boyle, Senior Vice President of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors; international keynote speaker Anthony Morris; author and motivational humorist Karel Murray; Myra Palmer, President of The Palmer Agency; Julie Ragatz, Director of the Center for Ethics In Financial Services and Assistant Professor of Ethics at The American College; and Stephen Wershing, President of The Client Driven Practice.
