Winchester Parks and Recreation to Host Submersible Egg Hunt
Egg Splash Planned for Indoor Swimming Pool at Jim Barnett Park
WINCHESTER, VA (04/01/2014)(readMedia)-- The Winchester Parks and Recreation Department's Aquatics Division will host a submersible egg hunt on Saturday, April 12th. The "Egg Splash" will feature over 1500 eggs stuffed with prizes and goodies, some floating and some hidden underwater at the War Memorial Building's indoor pool. This super special aqua egg hunt starts with a splash and ends with one lucky child swimming away with a prize egg valued at $50.00. The" Egg Splash" will be broken down into three age categories that are planned for three different starting times.
HUNTS START TIMES:
AGE 3-5 11:30AM - 12:00PM
AGE 6-8 12:00PM - 12:30PM
AGE 9-12 12:30PM - 1:00PM
Adults must accompany children ages 3-5 years old in the pool. The cost is $5 per child. No basket is necessary for the water bound egg hunt, though bags and buckets are recommended for egg accumulations. There is an 80 person maximum per hunt. Participation is on a first-paid, first-served basis.
