2013 Mancini nominees announced

The judges have selected nominees for the 19th annual Geneva College Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards.

BEAVER FALLS, PA (04/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Each year, Geneva College honors outstanding accomplishments in high school musical productions in Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties at the Geneva College Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards. Nominees for 2013 have been announced and the awards will be presented Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. during a ceremony in Metheny Fieldhouse on the campus.

Geneva College presents the awards because of its commitment to enhancing the arts in Western Pennsylvania and preserving the Mancini legacy that is part of our rich heritage. The McCarl Family Foundation, which is also committed to supporting the arts in our community, partners with Geneva College to help make the event possible

The Geneva College Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards is a Participating Award Program of the National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), which is held annually in New York City. Recipients selected from Outstanding Male in a Leading Role and Outstanding Female in a Leading Role from the Mancini Awards will receive national recognition by performing on Broadway at the NHSMTA. Geneva will send two students to New York University, all expenses paid, to attend classes with theater professionals and have the opportunity to compete for merit scholarships and other prizes.
