Becky Fabbiano Picks up Two Weekly Awards
Fabbiano set the Brockport school record in the pole vault event
BROCKPORT, NY (02/21/2012)(readMedia)-- Senior Becky Fabbiano (Lockport, NY/Lockport) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Female Athlete of the Week after setting the school record in the pole vault event. Fabbiano has also been named The College at Brockoprt Female Athlete of the Week following her performance.
Fabbiano is a two-time winner of the weekly SUNYAC Female Field Athlete of the Week as well as a two-time winner of the Brockport Female athlete of the week.. Fabbiano broke the Brockport school record in the pole vault with a height of 11 ft. 7 ¼ inches (3.53 meters). Fabbiano finished fifth at the meet but was the top Division III participant. Fabbiano's height currently ranks 17th in all of Division III. The senior's previous career best was 11 ft. 3 ¾ inches, set earlier this season.
