SCHENECTADY, NY (10/08/2015)(readMedia)-- The Friends of the Schenectady County Library are celebrating Halloween with two events featuring Edgar Allan Poe. On Saturday, October 24, the Whitney Book Corner, 600 Union Street, Schenectady, will host a Poe Open House from 1 – 4 pm. There will be coupons for free books, refreshments and the winning poems from the Poe Poetry contest will be read.
On Friday, October 30 at noon in the McChesney Room of the Central Branch of the library, 99 Clinton Street, Schenectady, Alan Catlin, local poet and author will present a program entitled The Enigmatic Life and Times of Edgar Allan Poe.
