Collegeville Resident Ruth Daller Receives Distinguished Alumni Award from Gwynedd-Mercy College

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA (10/28/2010)(readMedia)-- Ruth Daller, RN, MSN, CRNP, of Collegeville, Pa., received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Gwynedd-Mercy College for her outstanding work in the nursing field and for her efforts with the Daller Family Charitable Trust. The award is the highest alumni honor that Gwynedd-Mercy College bestows upon an outstanding alumna or alumnus.

Daller spent many years of her career as a pediatric nurse and was awarded the American Cancer Society's Lane Adams Quality of Life Award, an award given to those who enhance the quality of life of cancer patients and their families. Along with her husband, Walter, she also serves as trustee of the Daller Family Charitable Trust. Ruth supports her alma mater as a devoted member of the Nursing Advisory Board.

In U.S.News & World Report's 2011 edition of "Best Colleges," Gwynedd-Mercy College ranked in the first tier of its category, which is largely attributed to its high graduation and retention rates.
