Hunt Valley Resident Janet Kelly Receives Distinguished Award from PA College

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA (10/28/2010)(readMedia)-- Janet Kelly, of Hunt Valley, Md., received a Distinguished Alumni Award from Gwynedd-Mercy College for her professional and philanthropic endeavors with Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, Inc. The award is the highest alumni honor that Gwynedd-Mercy College bestows upon an outstanding alumna or alumnus.

In 1976, Kelly founded the health and life insurance agency with her husband, Frank. Today, their company is one of the largest and fastest-growing group insurance administrators, brokers and consultants in the Mid-Atlantic region. Through their company, they support many charitable organizations including Relay for Life, The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, The Dyslexia Tutoring Foundation, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, World Vision and the World Bicycle Relief.

In U.S.News & World Report's 2011 edition of "Best Colleges," Gwynedd-Mercy College ranked in the first tier of its category, which is largely attributed to its high graduation and retention rates.
