BEAVER FALLS, PA (02/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Author and lecturer Dr. Steven Garber will appear at Geneva College on Wednesday, February 15. He will present "Conversation of Consequence" in chapel at 10:15 a.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse, and will also be speaking in Skye Lounge at 7 p.m.
Dr. Garber is the author of The Fabric of Faithfulness: Weaving Together Belief & Behavior During the University Years, which was voted one of Christianity Today's books of the year in 1998. In his book, Garber discusses ways that people involved with college students can help them connect what they believe about the world with the way they lead their lives.
Dr. Garber is also the Director of the Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation and Culture, an educational center located in Washington D.C. that seeks to teach, serve and equip people to understand their careers as an integral part of God's plan for the world.
He previously served as Scholar in residence for the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) and as Lilly Faculty Scholar at Calvin College. For year, Dr. Garber was a member of the faculty of the America Studies Program on Capitol Hill.
