Dustin Colgan Named SUNYAC Field Athlete of the Week
BROCKPORT, NY (04/04/2012)(readMedia)-- Senior Dustin Colgan (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) of The College at Brockport Men's Track and Field team has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Male Field Athlete of the Week. Colgan and the Golden Eagles competed at the Hamilton Invitational over the weekend for the team's first outdoor event of the year.
Colgan took part in three different events for Brockport and collected two first-place finishes. In the hammer throw, Colgan posted an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying mark of 51.26 meters (168' 2") to finish first. The senior also topped the meet in the discus with a throw of 44.21 meters (145' 0"), also an ECAC qualifying mark. Colgan finished third in the shot put with an event with a distance of 13.62 meters (44' 8").
