Eliah Golding Named ECWC Co-Wrestler of the Week
The junior wrestler scored four pins last week
BROCKPORT, NY (02/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Junior Eliah Golding (Albany, NY/Colonie) has picked up a weekly award from the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC). Golding, who has also been named The College at Brockport Athlete of the Week, was named Co-Wrestler of the Week.
Golding pinned four wrestlers in a grand total of 5:22 throughout the week. One pin came against RIT in a dual meet in just 1:25. Competing at the Baldwin-Wallace John Summa Memorial Tournament, Golding pinned his way to the championship. The three pins were recorded in 1:05, 1:09, and 1:43 to win the 141-pound championship. Golding has not lost since Dec. 3, 11 straight matches. Five of his last six victories have come by way of pin.
