CARLSBAD, CA (03/09/2009)(readMedia)-- In these turbulent times, employees are challenged to keep their best employees. Dr. Elizabeth Fried will address these issues to the East San Gabriel and Pomona Valley human resources association on March 17, 2009 at 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at The Pomona Valley Mining Company restaurant.

"Employers are struggling to retain and motivate their employees, and we are looking forward to having Dr. Fried share her strategies for training leaders to bring out the best in their employees," said Jennifer Van Hoorn, Program Chair.

Fried has offered her strategies to a variety of human resources groups throughout California and will also be presenting to professional human resources and coaching groups in Anaheim, Pasadena, and Irvine later this year.

"A key reason people stay with companies is because of their relationships with their managers," said Fried. "Effective leadership training that sticks is the key to insuring employees are motivated, engaged and productive. With tight budgets and pressure to survive, we can't afford to throw away money on training programs that don't work."

Fried, who is President of N. E. Fried and Associate, Inc., dba The Learning Engine, is located in Carlsbad, CA. She specializes in front-line supervisory and leadership training, business process inprovement, customer service, and online sexual harassment and diversity training. Her approach with leadership training has been successfully implemented at a number of Southern California companies, including Silverado Senior Living, based in San Clemente and HR Textron, located in Santa Clarita.
