CARLSBAD, CA (10/20/2008)(readMedia)-- Advancing in the fast paced business world can feel like a climb up the world's tallest mountain. Ever wondered if anyone could give you lessons to make it to the top? Ian Woodall can. He envisioned, planned, and led five expeditions to the peak of Mount Everest and will share his insight of how to use the skills he learned climbing the highest mountain to advance to the top of the corporate ladder and beyond, at the next San Diego Professional Coaching Alliance (SDPCA) meeting. The presentation will be held, November 10, 2008, at 9:30 am at the Holiday Inn, 3805 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego (858-278-9300).

"For the first time ever, in a unique and dramatic presentation, Ian brings the triumphs and tragedies of climbing the highest mountain in the world directly to San Diego Professional Coaches Association and shows how the lessons learned on the mountain can be applied to enhance leadership, problem solving, and personal development skills." says Elizabeth Fried, vice president of marketing and public relations for SDPCA and president of The Learning Engine an executive assessment, development, and coaching firm.

The greatest test of leadership is when problem situations arise. The Lessons of Everest provides a solid "take home" to practical leadership during those very situations needing solutions. In his dynamic and inspiring presentation, Woodall shares tools that will help your clients prepare for and/or advance their career, climb the ladder faster and know what to expect along the way.

Woodall has lived the life of a school teacher, auditor, and even served as an officer of the British Army prior to leading several expeditions to climb Mt. Everest.

"We're looking forward to Ian's presentation", says SDPCA Treasurer, Andrea Littlejohn, of Transformational Coaching in Vista, CA with specialties in business, personal, and spiritual development. "Having a coach is like having an insurance policy against making poor decisions when faced with challenge or adversity. A coach will always take you to the higher places within yourself, insuring a responsive rather than reactive choice. Getting a real life perspective like Ian's will drive this home."
