BROCKPORT, NY (04/04/2012)(readMedia)-- Sophomore Emily Dumas (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) of The College at Brockport Softball team has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Co-Player of the Week. Dumas is the first Golden Eagle to earn the Player of the Week Award this year.
In four games over the weekend, Dumas batted .545 (6-11). The sophomore hit three home runs in two games against Oswego State on Saturday, including her first multi-homerun game of her career and a personal-best five runs batted in during game two. Over the weekend, Dumas collected a total of eight RBI and scored three runs.
On the year, Dumas is batting .405 with four homeruns and 18 RBIs, both team-highs. The Golden Eagles take on Nazareth College on April 4 and return to SUNYAC play on Saturday, April 7 for a doubleheader against Geneseo.
