BROCKPORT, NY (05/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Emily Dumas (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) has been named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Tournament team after helping Brockport to a third place finish.
Dumas batted .385 in the tournament as Brockport went 2-2. Dumas led the two with six RBI and three doubles. The sophomore was 3-5 with four RBI and two doubles in a thrilling 16-12 victory over Geneseo in an elimination game.
The Golden Eagles fell to Plattsburgh on day one of the tournament by the score of 3-1 but then came back at beat Oswego 10-8 to eliminate the Lakers. On the next day, Brockport and Geneseo set the SUNYAC record for most combined runs as the Golden Eagles came out wit the victory. Brockport took an early lead on nationally ranked Cortland in an attempt to reach the SUNYAC Championship, but fell short to finish third.
