BEAVER FALLS, PA (10/12/2012)(readMedia)-- "Come back to where your search began" at Geneva's Homecoming 2012 on Saturday, October 20. The "I Spy Geneva"-themed event will feature a variety of activities throughout the day to continue the annual tradition of celebrating the school's alumni and history.
The perennially popular College Hill Festival will be held on the Pedestrian Mall and is open to the public. The festival features artisans, vendors, live music and great food. There will also be a selection of local groups sharing their skills and talents on the Old Main Stage on Old Main Lawn; several musicians performing on Memorial Lawn; and a mix of kid's games, crafts, face painting and a petting zoo on McKee Lawn.
Alumni are invited to join any number of opportunities to enjoy fellowship and rekindle old friendships. Members of the classes of '82, '87, '92, '97, '02 and '07 will meet in the Benedum Room for reunion photos, which is immediately followed with "Geneva Nostalgia"-the 75th Anniversary season kick-off concert by the school's choir, The Genevans.
Other Alumni events include an Alumni Band Luncheon in Alexander Dining Hall, a Young Life Reunion in Northwood Hall, an Alumni Baseball Game, a Golden Tornado Reunion for alumni of ages 60 and older in McCartney Library, and a 1987 Reunion Gathering in the McCartney Library Lawn Tent.
Also, campus tours will be conducted throughout the morning for those wishing to learn more about Geneva College. Registration for the tours may be made by contacting the Admissions Office at admissions@geneva.edu or 800-847-8255.
