Geneva College graduation events will be held May 4 and 5.

BEAVER FALLS, PA (04/03/2012)(readMedia)-- As the spring semester draws to a close, the members of the Geneva College class of 2012 are preparing to complete their studies, don caps and gowns and receive their diplomas. Commencement ceremonies for the graduates will be held Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5.

Commencement events begin with a baccalaureate service on Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse. Rev. Wade Mann, pastor of the Shawnee Reformed Presbyterian Church in Shawnee, Kan., will be giving the sermon.

Traditional undergraduate commencement will be Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m. Dr. Steven Garber, Principal of the Washington Institute of Faith, Vocation & Culture, will be giving the address. The ceremony will be held outside in Reeves Field, weather permitting. Gates open at 8:30 am.

If inclement weather forces undergraduate commencement indoors, tickets will be required to enter Metheny Fieldhouse. Graduate and adult education commencement will be held Saturday, May 5 at 4 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse. Dr. Mitch Nichols, senior pastor of the Bibleway Christian Fellowship Church in New Kensington, Pa., will be the speaker.
