BEAVER FALLS, PA (10/27/2014)(readMedia)-- High school students who are interested in majoring in business or accounting and exploring opportunities in these fields are invited to attend Geneva College's annual Business Day on Saturday, November 8, 2014.
"This fun and interactive day will provide you a first-hand look at what it's like to be a business major," according to Geneva's Business Day info page. Participants will take part in business simulation games and meet with current business students and faculty, alumni, and local business leaders who employ Geneva graduates.
The majors covered by the event include Accounting; Business Administration, with concentrations in Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management & Entrepreneurship, Management of Information Systems, Marketing, and Sport Management; Business/Aviation; and Sport Management/Business.
Dr. Gordon Richards, Chair of the Business Department, says, "On the typical college visit you get a rather limited perspective of the academic picture. Students who attend our Business Day event get an in-depth look at our department and our programs. They get to meet the entire cadre of business faculty that they will learn from over the next four years, and the relationships we build with our students begin on that very day."
Geneva's Department of Business, Accounting and Management is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), which recognizes teaching excellence in business education.
