Dinner will then be served by The Genevans, and will feature music from the full choir, as well several numbers by the Grace Notes and Eight Bells.
Greg Mead, student president of the choir, says, "All proceeds will support the ministry of The Genevans, particularly our spring tour. This year we are traveling north, reaching New Hampshire and Massachusetts."
Tickets will be $18 for adults and students and $12 for children under 12. Babysitting will be provided free of charge. Call the music department at 724-847-6660 for reservations.
The Genevans, the student choir of Geneva College, is heir to a tradition of choral singing dating from the early years of the college over a century and a half ago. The mission of the choir expresses Geneva's belief that music, as one of God's finest gifts, meets a deep, universal need in people. The choir's repertoire is broad and varied, reflecting the belief that "all of life, always and everywhere, is life in the presence of God." The choir has been directed in over 550 concerts by Dr. Robert M. Copeland.
