Jordan Dyer Named ECWC Rookie of the Week
BROCKPORT, NY (12/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Jordan Dyer (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks), a freshman on The College at Brockport Wrestling team has been selected as the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) Rookie of the Week. Dyer becomes the second Golden Eagle to earn the award this season.
Competing in the 141-pound division, Dyer scored an 8-5 decision over Caleb Willey from Lycoming on Friday night. The freshman's victory helped give Brockport a 29-6 victory over the Warriors. Dyer was named a contender in the latest d3wrestle.com rankings while Willey was in the honorable mention portion of the rankings.
Matthew Lashway (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) earned ECWC Rookie of the Week honors on Nov. 21 for the Golden Eagles.
Next up for Brockport are the Virginia Duals on Jan. 11-12
