BROCKPORT, NY (05/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Julie Arnold (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia) has been named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Tournament team after helping the Golden Eagles to a third place finish.
Arnold was 6-11 in the the four games, leading Brockport with a .545 batting average, .818 slugging percentage, and a .643 on-base percentage. Arnold homered for Brockport's only run against Plattsburgh on day one.
The Golden Eagles fell to Plattsburgh on day one of the tournament by the score of 3-1 but then came back at beat Oswego 10-8 to eliminate the Lakers. On the next day, Brockport and Geneseo set the SUNYAC record for most combined runs as the Golden Eagles came out wit the victory. Brockport took an early lead on nationally ranked Cortland in an attempt to reach the SUNYAC Championship, but fell short to finish third.
