Kyheem Green Named to All-SUNYAC First-Team

The senior forward earns his second straight all-conference first-team selection

BROCKPORT, NY (02/28/2012)(readMedia)-- Senior Kyheem Greem (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) of The College at Brockport Men's Basketball team has been named to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) First-Team for the second straight year. Green is the first Golden Eagle to be named to the All-SUNYAC First-Team in consecutive seasons since 2006-2008.

Green was named to the First-Team for the second consecutive year after leading the Golden Eagles in nearly every major statistical category, offensively and defensively. Green finished tops on the team with 15.1 points per game which also put him with the sixth best percentage in the SUNYAC. Green's 7.7 rebounds per game topped the team and was good enough for fourth in the league. The senior finished with 1.88 blocks per game (47 overall) to finish second behind SUNYAC Player of the Year Chad Burridge from Oswego. Green also led Brockport in field goal percentage (56.1 percent) and steals (47). In 26 games played, Green scored in double figures 25 times and posted seven double-doubles.

The Golden Eagles finished the season with a 14-13 overall record. Brockport fell to eventual conference champion Oswego State in the semifinals of the SUNYAC Playoffs to end their season.
