Marian University Student Tom Sublett Will Present Original Research in Chemistry and Sustainability on April 19, 2011
Seventh annual undergraduate research symposium in chemistry and sustainability showcases opportunities in undergraduate research.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (04/18/2011)(readMedia)-- Eleven Marian University students will present their original research on Tuesday, April 19, 2010 in the Grand Drawing Room of Stokely Mansion on campus. The research projects were conducted as a part of the students' coursework or internship; nearly all of the presentations satisfy some research requirement in CHE 360 / 380 / 498. Opportunities for students to do original research at the undergraduate level are rare; this is a hallmark of Marian University's science curriculum.
Tom Sublett, a junior majoring in pre-medical studies from Lebanon, Indiana, will present research entitled Hydrogen Storage Materials for the Future: Synthesis and Dehydrogenation Studies of Ammonia Borane in conjunction with Dr. Roderick M. Macrae.
