Matilda Cuomo, Marylou Whitney, to co-chair Mental Health Foundation's August Evening in Saratoga, Aug. 15

SARATOGA, NY (06/20/2011)(readMedia)-- First Lady of Saratoga Marylou Whitney and former New York First Lady Matilda Cuomo will welcome Lynn Grefe, President and CEO of the National Eating Disorders Association as the Mental Health Foundation holds its annual August Evening in Saratoga on Monday, August 15th from 5:30-8:00 pm. The event will take place at The Saratoga National Golf Course in Saratoga Springs. Both Mrs. Whitney and Mrs. Cuomo have co-chaired the August Evening in Saratoga for the past six years. Mrs. Cuomo also serves on the Foundation Board.
As the National Eating Disorders Association's chief spokesperson, Grefe is a familiar voice in the media and public forums providing insight and understanding on the ways eating disorders afflict young women in particular. NEDA is an organization focused on public education and grassroots advocacy around a variety of conditions that affect the well being of 24 million Americans. Grefe's professional career has spanned a wide range of experiences in the public, private and government sectors but has always focused on advocacy for people.
Time Warner Cable's YNN Health Reporter Marcie Fraser will host the evening's program.
The Mental Health Foundation encourages, develops and supports efforts to improve understanding about good mental health and reduce stigma.
