New York City Demands Accountability For $700 Billion Bailout

NEW YORK, NY (10/23/2008)(readMedia)-- Weeks after Congress approved more than $700 billion in bailout relief, the people still have questions. On Wednesday, October 29, 2008, between 7 and 9 PM, a panel consisting of Democratic Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (or her representative), Libertarian Congressional Candidate Isaiah Matos, Republican Congressional Candidate Robert Heim, NYS Assembly Candidate Bill Buran for the Greater NYC Campaign for Liberty and a representative for the NYC Green Party, will answer questions at a Town Hall Meeting.

The Town Hall Meeting will take place at the Ukrainian East Village Restaurant, 140 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10003. The Town Hall format will allow 5 predetermined questions relating directly to the facts of the bailout plan and approximately half of the forum will be open to questions by audience members and the media.

This diverse group of panelists will allow for a wider variety of political opinions not commonly offered.

This event is open to all members of the media and to the public. Participation is encouraged.
