Daring hit Broadway musical based on true story
ST.PAUL, MINN. (10/18/2012)(readMedia)-- Northwestern College Theatre presents Side Show, Nov. 1–3 at 7 p.m. in Maranatha Hall, 3003 Snelling Avenue North, St. Paul, Minn. Tickets ($12.50 adults and $10 students) are available at nwc.edu or through the Northwestern College Ticket Office at 651-631-5151. This production is recommended for ages 12 and up.
Directed by Doc Rainbow with musical direction by David Kozamchak, Side Show is the story of Violet and Daisy, a pair of talented conjoined twins, who are discovered in a two-bit freak show and soon whisked away by a musician and talent scout to a life in Vaudeville. There they encounter show business successes and romantic disappointments, as they dream of living normal lives. Based on the real life story of the Hilton twins, Side Show opened on Broadway in 1998 to critical acclaim and received four Tony nominations.
