BROOKLYN, NY (03/11/2010)(readMedia)-- Leaders of the NYS Public Employees Federation (PEF) will be joined by Brooklyn elected officials (NYS Senator Eric Adams; NYS Assemblyman Karim Camara; NYS Senator Kevin Parker; NYS Assemblyman William Boyland and a representative from NYS Senator John Sampson's office) to address inadequate staffing, lack of resources and hostile work enviornment that is threatening patient care at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center.
PEF leaders along with PEF Doctors, Nurses and Social Workers at Kingsboro will call for the resignation of the Director of the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center .
The U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) surveyors have picked up on the problems that management and the agency have allowed to occur; NYS stands to lose up to $22 million in Medicaid funding if it fails to correct problems cited in a federal survey.
