ALBANY, NY (03/06/2017) (readMedia)-- Members of the New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF) will hold a rally at the state Office of Children and Family Services to protest what they call unreasonable and unfair changes in policies that hinder the services they provide to the public. Specifically, management is forcing the unionized workers to maintain a schedule between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. For decades, OCFS employees were able to work their shifts between 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. which allowed them more availability to provide services to families.
