Second annual KTIS family-friendly music festival to be held at the National Sports Center in Blaine

ST.PAUL, MN (06/03/2010)(readMedia)-- 98.5 KTIS is bringing back the Joyful Noise Family Fest, a one-day outdoor music festival on Saturday, June 12 at the National Sports Center in Blaine. Gates open at 10 a.m. for a full day of music, outdoor activities and wholesome community fun.

"We are excited to bring back an event that is truly family-friendly," said Dan Wynia, KTIS Director of Concerts and Major Events. "We have a great musical line-up and many activities that all ages can enjoy."

Joyful Noise Family Fest will feature some of most influential names in contemporary Christian music including Third Day, Kutless, and Matthew West. A great mix of newer artists will make appearances, as will some favorite local acts – like Go Fish, Sara Renner and Joel Hanson. See the full line-up at www.joyfulnoisefamilyfest.com.

In addition to two stages of musical performances, the outdoor venue will also house an abundance of food, children's activities (including a carousel, bungee jumping and a field of inflatable bouncers), and a special visit from the University of Minnesota Raptor Center.

Wynia says "It's a great value too – for what you might pay for a concert ticket for a single act, you get so much great music. And all the additional activities are free! Your ticket to the event covers everything except for concessions."

''There are so many summer music festivals that really don't accommodate a variety of ages – especially children," said KTIS Director of Listener & Community Engagement, Morgan Wood. "We wanted to put on an event that emphasizes the importance of families and the value of spending time together."

Admission is free for children four and under, and $32.50 for ages five and above. Groups of five or more may receive a special discounted ticket price of $27.50 each (group tickets are only available through June 10 at 4pm). Tickets will also be sold at the gate on the day of the event.
