TROY, NY (12/15/2010)(readMedia)-- Students from the Susan Odell Taylor School will be making one hundred "goody bags" for the Joseph House Holiday Party to be held this Friday, December 17th.
The preschool and prekindergarten students decorated festive red bags and the other grades (kindergarten through 6th) filled the bags with treats. The treats were all donated by the students and their parents and included such items as; pencils, stickers, candy, silly bands, yo-yos, small books, etc.
Throughout the year, students and their families participate in a variety of activities for the purpose of building a sense of community within the school and outside school walls. Community service projects are especially important. Through these projects, students enrich the lives of others through generous acts of giving while learning how to be members of a supportive community and responsible citizens of the world.
