CARLSBAD, CA (05/08/2007)(readMedia)-- Elizabeth Fried, Ph.D., president of The Learning Engine, offers a pilot program to help people who struggle with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

ADD and ADHD typically affect a person's ability to concentrate and focus. These people often have difficulty with reading comprehension and become easily bored and distracted when faced with tedious or mundane activities. Symptoms typically impact a child or teen's ability to learn and study or attune to social cues. Grades are often poor, and disruptive behavior can occur.

"Adults suffer as well. I've seen executives who behave rudely or abruptly, lacking any patience with others who don't operate at their speed. Some fidget nervously during meetings or simply zone out," Fried observes.

To help these people cope with ADD and ADHD issues, The Learning Engine is investigating a drug-free alternative process that may significantly and permanently reduce or eliminate these problems. The pilot will include 15 people: Five children between the ages of seven and 12; five teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19 , and five middle to executive-level management adults who have been diagnosed or believe they may be suffering from ADD or ADHD.

"Our goal is to easily help participants improve their focus and productivity while we perfect and streamline our protocols," says Fried.

Participants are required to spend a 50 to 75-minute session with Dr. Fried and then record and report back any improvements they experience over the next month. Pilot participants will receive a benefit of between $250 and $375 free of charge, depending on the type of consultation needed.

Anyone interested may contact Dr. Fried at 760-633-4444 to determine if you or your child qualify for the pilot program. The pilot will take place between May 15 and May 25.
