ALBANY, NY (10/21/2011)(readMedia)-- Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) announced the 2011 Rookie of the Year and ANGEL award winner during the WIFS 2011 National Conference and 75th Anniversary Celebration held in Portland, Oregon from October 20th to October 22nd.
The Rookie of the Year award recognizes the successes of a WIFS member who is new to the industry. This award is given to the individual with the highest income of all Rookie of the Year applicants and must have three years or less experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry. This year's winner is Tiffany Helleson of Portland, Oregon.
The ANGEL (Assistance, Nurture, Guidance, Ethics, Leadership) award is given to the person who demonstrates these attributes and has been instrumental in the success of her peers. The recipient of this year's ANGEL award is Nancy Rash, a WIFS Past President in 1993. Nancy exemplifies each of the ANGEL attributes in her involvement and support of WIFS in her work in the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter as well as the national organization. Karen Roberts, WIFS National President, said "Nancy has been a passionate and committed member/leader of WIFS...She attends every conference and supports the mission of WIFS in everything that she does."
