ALBANY, NY (10/21/2011)(readMedia)-- Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) announced the 2011 Woman of the Year during the WIFS 2011 National Conference and 75th Anniversary Celebration held in Portland, Oregon from October 20th to October 22nd.
The Woman of the Year award, the highest recognition a WIFS member may receive from her peers, honors the woman who has exemplified on-going involvement in WIFS and the insurance and financial services industry. This year's winner is Mary Quist-Newins, ChFC, CLU, CFP, with The American College.
Mary's commitment to women in the financial services industry can be seen in her position at The American College's State Farm Center for Women and Financial Services, as well as her work with WIFS, where she works to achieve WIFS' mission of attracting capable women to the financial services sector, helping them develop their talents and advancing them toward their fullest potential.
