ALBANY, NY (11/19/2015)(readMedia)-- During the 2015 National Conference, held in Baltimore Maryland, WIFS coordinated a fun team building exercise that gave attendees the opportunity to tap into their creative side and raise funds for local charity, The Family Tree.
The teams were challenged with constructing paper pinwheels in support of the charity's campaign, Stand for Children - Pinwheels for Prevention. The goals of the program are to raise awareness and start a dialogue about child abuse prevention in Maryland. For each working pinwheel that the teams created, $1 was donated by WIFS for a total donation of $500.
"As part of our WIFS Cares initiative, it was important to find a charity that reflected the values of WIFS and also gave back to the community that served as host city for 2015 conference," States National President Susan Glass. "The Family Tree was a natural fit with its message of building strong families."
